About Me

My name is Bill Millar. I am a web & graphic designer based in Melbourne, Australia.

I create vibrant, professional, eye-catching websites using best practice techniques and the latest W3C web standards, resulting in SEO friendly XHTML and CSS.

I have over 7 years industry experience, and have been a part of design and development projects for many exceptional companies during those years, including Qantas, Hoyts, NAB, 3 Mobile, News Digital Media, The AFL and Vodafone, just to name a few.

I have a genuine passion for design, and love creating great pieces of work that not only catch the eye, but really serve their intended purpose - whether it be promoting a service or event, selling a product, or whatever.

Employment

I'm currently employed at Eservices, as a senior designer / art director in the Web department. Prior to this I was a senior front-end developer in the Email department, during which time I learned a great deal about designing, building, and delivering HTML emails.

Technical Skills

When designing websites, my weapons of choice are Photoshop and Illustrator for creating layouts, and Dreamweaver to build clean HTML and CSS. I also like to use a bit of JQuery and Flash to add a bit of movement and flair.

Other Interests

When I'm not designing, I spend most of my time playing cricket & golf, following the Western Bulldogs in the AFL, kicking about with mates, and listening to music. I also love to travel, having visited a number of countries including Thailand, the Philippines, England, Singapore, Scotland, and the United States.
